Maerz Alloying Furnaces

JESCO Millwright Division installed the two 7.2 MMBTU/hr, natural gas-fired Maerz Alloying Furnaces equipped with baghouses. The furnaces are pre-assembled cylinders setting in a cradle attached to the foundation. A drive unit rotates these furnaces in their cradles. These cylinders weigh approximately 23,300 pounds. A 3' diameter duct is attached and three 3/8" cap welds were made around the perimeter of each duct.
