Caterpillar – Booneville

Project Overview

JESCO, Inc. was contracted to Design / Build this state-of-the-art engine remanufacturing facility in Booneville, Mississippi as the first of many plants successfully completed for Caterpillar. The facility included manufacturing areas, flammable storage, high rise rack storage systems, chemical storage and waste tanks. The building’s exterior consists of concrete tilt-up wall panels with metal siding above and a ballast roofing system. In addition, it contains a high bay area to accommodate overhead crane operation.

JESCO’s Mechanical-Electrical Division provided complete facility design and installation for the plant’s air conditioning systems, process clean rooms, compressed air systems, plumbing and complete electrical lighting and power distribution.

JESCO’s Millwright Division performed the original relocation of equipment from the Caterpillar facility in Corinth, Mississippi, to the Booneville, Mississippi, facility. Since the original move we have performed various machine installations, including conveyors, bridge cranes, Mazak Machines, washer, foundations, dunker tanks, rod line equipment, presses, dust collectors, racks, production line and empire blaster.
